Project Background
UNDP India’s focus on Gender Equality and Leave No One Behind (LNOB) emphasizes the integration of inclusive, intersectional approaches across all development initiatives.
The selected intern will support initiatives led by the Gender Focal Team (GFT) and the LNOB Core Group, helping enhance gender mainstreaming and foster collaboration across thematic portfolios.
Key Responsibilities
Knowledge Management & Research

Conduct secondary research and draft concept notes on gender and inclusion themes.

Analyze national policies and schemes through a human rights-based lens.

Maintain a repository of key gender and LNOB resources—reports, frameworks, toolkits, and case studies.

Assist in designing systems for capturing gender-disaggregated data and LNOB insights.

Take minutes during meetings and summarize key discussion points for follow-up.
Communications & Advocacy

Support communication campaigns focused on gender and inclusion.

Assist in the planning and coordination of webinars, training sessions, and events.

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet one of the following:

Currently enrolled in a postgraduate program (e.g., Master’s or higher) in Law, Development Studies, Gender Studies, or related fields.

In the final year of a Bachelor’s degree in the above disciplines.

Recently graduated from a qualifying program and able to start within one year of graduation.

Enrolled in a professional postgraduate traineeship with internship as part of the curriculum.
Additional Requirements:

Strong research and analytical skills with attention to detail.

Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and online tools.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to meet tight deadlines and multitask effectively.

Fluency in English; working knowledge of Hindi or any regional language is an asset.
